Stephen Lovegrove
Chief Executive
Stephen joined the Shareholder Executive in April 2004 and was appointed Chief Executive on 18 April 2008, having been acting Chief Executive since 27 June 2007.
Prior to that, he spent ten years at Deutsche Bank, where he was the head of the European media team. During that time Stephen worked on a wide range of capital raisings, acquisitions and divestments in all the sub-sectors of the media industry. Prior to the City, Stephen spent five years as a strategic consultant.
As Chief Executive, Stephen will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Shareholder Executive. He will also have overall lead on portfolio businesses, strategy and delivery of the business plan.
In addition, within the Shareholder Executive, Stephen leads on:
- Channel 4
- Partnerships UK
In addition, Stephen works with the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) on the 2012 Olympic bid and BBC Charter Review.
